Who we are

With a passion for architecture and design, I earned my degree in Interior Design from Middle Tennessee State University, which provided a strong foundation in both aesthetics and functionality. My career began in the Architecture Department at Hunter Homes in Huntsville, AL, where I gained hands-on experience in residential drafting and design. I then transitioned to Signature Homes in Franklin, TN, where I worked my way up to Architectural Product Manager, refining my expertise in community planning, product development, and home design.

In 2017, I took the leap to start my own company, R. Jayne Drafting and Design, LLC. Since then, I have collaborated with a wide range of builders and custom home clients, designing hundreds of homes across Tennessee. My approach focuses on creating thoughtful, livable spaces that balance beauty, functionality, and efficiency—whether it’s a custom dream home, a large-scale residential development, or a detailed remodel. A passion for design, attention to detail, and commitment to client satisfaction sets us apart. At R. Jayne, I believe that every home should be a reflection of its owner, and I work closely with clients to ensure their happiness above all else.

Beyond design, my greatest joy is my family; my husband, Michael, our two wonderful children, JM and Annie, and our Labrador Retriever, Reggie. Between work and family life, my days are full, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
